Thanks Joe. I have spoken to Hotwire and they assured me they handle this swap,I just wanted to hear from someone who had done it. By the way, did you make your own adapter for the trans output to mate up to a regular u joint?

I'm not sure when he got it all figured out, but I bought my system in June last year. I had actually seen your build thread, while I was working out my details, and contacted Russell Drake. At that time, he was still perfecting his setup( probably in your car), and advised me that it still needed some programming work. I'm not exactly a computer genius, so I went looking for another answer. The Hotwire setup made sense, as I had the complete 08 Charger donor car. This setup uses all of the factory modules, and programs them to read the speed signal from his tone ring, which is very similar to the PCS tone ring except it used two sensors. I have put several thousand miles on it now, and it performs flawlessly, just as the 08 Charger did. I have an 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gears and it is great on the highway and plenty fast on the street.

More guys will make this swap now the right equipment is available. It is worth it!

I bought a driveshaft from www.thedriveshaftshop.com , which has an aluminum adapter that bolts to the trans flange, and a high speed CV joint that takes the place of the front u-joint/slip joint. I've had the car to 140+ mph, and it doesn't vibrate at all. Very nice setup.

It was around $800.00 shipped, and it took about two weeks from the time I ordered it until it arrived.

You have to let them know if your trans has the three bolt (5.7) or the four bolt (6.1/6.4) flange, so they send you the right adapter, and you have to measure very accurately. If you use the Hotwire tone ring, allow 1/8" between the adapter and the flange for the tone ring.

I am happy to see this. Lots of questions in my mind but they probably are more specific to MY particular build as I was trying to swap EVERYTHING including the dash over and that created a different set of issues with the instrumentation and such.
Had I seen this I surely would have gone this route. I know I looked at Hotwire and they had nothing on their site at the time about sending them my computers and all.
Great new for those who want to do this. I do notice they don't have a reference for Chargers or Challengers as donor cars, wonder if there is a difference as far as programming goes on Hotwire's part?

I don't have or plan to use a Nag1 trans at this time.

Good news, next do any of the converter company's make a high stall converter? I want a street strip one about 3500.

I think Paramount is a big name on NAG1 converters. There's other company's as well but that one stands out in my mind

Guys,

I just got off the phone with Holley. Had a few questions about the dominator efi setup.

1st- Answer a few basic questions and you will have a start up tune

2nd- Supercharged engines can easily have a startup tune as well.

3rd- Once you do the start up, it DOES have self learning

4th- The Dominator currently has control over 4L60-80 transmissions, and they WILL have it for the NAg-1, but not right away. They are working on it for the future.

Hope this helps as you might as well get an efi that can control the trans at the same time.

Nice info. I'm still too busy to start on the 6.1L/NAG swap into the '69 Coronet. BTW, anyone have an extra power steering pulley? Looks like mine was broken when the engine shipped?

I found a website calles www.ofgear.dk. Ole Fejer owns it. He sell a controller for the Nag1 that costs 800 euro's, as me being a overseas mopar owner I seriously consider this as an option.
