Rear position, the forward clutch pack. Not the direct clutch pack located to the front position. I wish people would quit using GM/Ford terminology when discussing Torqueflites.

It's hard to know if the person you're talking to is familiar with the correct It can be confusing for those not fluent in transmissions as to which clutch is being discussed. Such as the clutch located in the rear location being applied in all forward gears and the clutch located in the forward location being applied in reverse. Doug

That's why using the correct terminology eliminates the confusion; "rear clutch" and "front clutch" are hard to get confused...even for a tyro.
