I see where Mancini Racing makes a six pack intake that can be used on a 426 Hemi motor. Anybody out there ever give this combination a try or have any experience with this combination? Good, bad, ugly or avoid? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Buddy

I've done several HEMI motors using the dual plane sixpack manifolds that I fabricated, IMHO the six pack induction on the HEMI offers better fuel distribution, better tune ability, better low to mid range performance, and surprisingly good fuel economy over the factory quad set up

Wow, positive comments on the trip holley carbs..... who would of thought.

But really ive been into six-packs for 30 plus years and cringe at so many uninformed neg. comments on them.

It would devalue my hemi car to do the swap, but id sure as heck like to.

That six pack hemi should of been an factory option.

Tom Hoover had been testing factory prototype manifolds as early as 1969 on his personal 66 HEMI powered Coronet, plus several factory mule test cars, it was slated for a late 1971 production introduction/option on the HEMI, but by May of 1970 corporate has already pulled the plug on the HEMI, with 71 being the last production year, so no new development was going to take place for RPO's

this may not be a good apples to apples comparison; but i switched from a 6-pak to a ch28 with 600 crabs on a 440 and believe the 6-pak was more powerful. the quads drive, start and are easier to tune but i firmly believe the dueces had noticeable more mid-range power.

doesn't devalue it at all, as long as you keep the original setup, and can put it back on. i don't anticipate getting to it for a while, but sounds like fun!
