RDJ, I tried that, all kinds of choices. But nothing "in dash" which is what I need. Is there a "holder" that would allow it to clip in to the panel?
In my Dart, I made a custom panel with all aftermarket gauges. One of the wires on the LED gets wired into the factory blinker (brights, etc) and the other runs to ground. If the holes for the LEDs are the proper size, it fits right in and the wires are behind the panel where you can tap into the factory wires.
I don't know how far you want to go with this, but if you drilled out the current blinker with the proper size hole (or a hole somewhere else), put the LED in the hole and wired into the factory wires it would work.

Greatly appreciate the help! Soon as the rest of the gauges come in, I plan to start drilling holes in the new insert.
Does anybody have pics of the process of laying out the new wires behind their insert? I'm leaning toward putting in the new harness while everthing is apart......
The round plug that plugs into the back of your panel has the wires you need to tap into. For a 73 Dart, they are:
Parking brake warning light - Black Oil warning light - grey fuel sender - dark blue highbeam indicator light - red rt turn indicator - tan lft turn indicator - light green temp gauge - green dash lights - orange
Yours are probably different, check a wiring diagram for your car. If all you are doing is replacing the signal and brights indicators, just tap into the factory wires with one wire on the LEDs and run a ground to a barrier strip with 18 or 16 gauge wire. Get a barrier strip bridge/jumper (the barrier strip and jumper is available at Radio Shack), and then you can run one 10 or 12 gauge ground wire from the barrier strip to a steering column bolt. The barrier strips take a certain size u -shape-connector, but I bought 64 on ebay for like 5 bucks or something.
One comment, The parking brake warning light doesn't work, but all the rest do.
Unfortunately, all my pictures of my project were on a hard drive that fried. Take note all, put your important pics on a CD, hard drives will fail eventually.

Ypur insert looks great RDJ! What are the two small LED's beneath the gauge used for?
The red LED is for the oil pressure, but I have an oil pressure gauge, so it is not hooked up. Eventually I will put a tee at the sender and have a sensor for the light.
The amber LED is for the parking brake warning, but the light never worked, and I didn't try very hard to figure out why. All the rest of gauges and lights have been working fine for the last two years. I put those red transparent covers for the dash lights, and it looks pretty cool at night.
The stock headlight switch and wiper switch were used in the setup, so I didn't have to hack at those wires or stock plugs (except to lengthen the wires for the wiper switch).
