check all fluid lines [fuel,ps,brake, and rear heat/ac] that have clamps to hold in place especially in the rust belt for issues as mentioned above. even the rubber lines clamp[s] can rust causing rust flakes to pinch and eventually pierce the rubber lines. another thing to check over good is the spare tire winch mechanism. these things are seldom used, and [especially in rust prone areas] are almost guaranteed to not work when needed.[i have a VERY nice one that fits 96-2000 if anyone is interested-pm me] and you will learn new words when it's snowing, raining, or zero out. then ,if you get the tire down & out, it will be flat or all cracked from dry rot or salt accumulation. in my old age, i just get the tire down & out, then remove the winch mechanism & plug the crank hole. i stow a full size spare behind the seat. easy to get when needed and can be moved when necessary. that's just me.

MoparX, "the shift kit just helps the trans do it's job better, not hard hitting like you would think a shift kit does. this is a separate kit from the pin retainer kit. cost $25-40 depending on your source. well worth it in my opinion"

What is the p/n and who carries these? Will this same kit work in a 95 Concorde w/it's style trans?

i'll have to wait until monday to get you a part #. the front driver kit for a minivan fits the 604/41TE, 606/42LE trans 89-2009, and the 42RLE trans 2003-2009. yours is the 42RLE, and i don't know why the 95 wouldn't use the same kit. i'll ask my trans supplier guy monday. the only difference between the transaxles is the front/rear layout on the concorde vs. the side/side layout of the other front drivers. stay tuned.

You guys must be psychic.... Went to pick it up. Dropped a battery in it, fired right up, went to shift into gear and pedal went to floor. Rear brake line rotted right at T lol. So...ill go back tomorrow and we will fix it. Also, I was mistaken in mileage. Has 140k on it. Still think it's a no brainier at 500

140k still has a bunch of life left. if the lines are rotted at the T, look over the lines running above the gas tank also. more than likely those are toast too. check real wheel cylinders for leakage while you are at that end. if you replace the cylinders, get a spring and adjuster kit. both are cheap. i like to go, but i like to stop better !

transgo part # is : 92165 available at any rebuilder shop. the 93-95ish concord trans is the 42LE. i mistakenly told you wrong. the 42RLE trans is the jeep inline engine trans, which is the exact [basic] trans as the front drive trans with the exception of the parts necessary for the transfer case hookup. and just for info i never heard of before : certain 2WD jeeps came with the 3.5 mitsu engine ! eek very rare, but my trans guy had one come off the interstate belonging to a couple traveling through. he never saw one since, but it had a 3.5 and a 42RLE trans with a tailshaft extension that excepted a driveshaft with a bolt on flange. he said he never saw another one since. he wasn't sure what setup this was until he had the trans on the floor. i never thought there was a trans made for a rear drive anything with a 3.5.
