There have been lots of "list" races and there is currently a new No.1 and No.2. Chief dropped off, everybody moved up one and then some guys changed places racing.
New cars coming........Chief. And regardless of what was posted on the McAmis facebook page, Murder Nova does NOT have a new McAmis car. He WILL have a new steel bodied Nova, but it is being built by Don Dial and is nearly done. Boosted has a new big tire car and Chuck has put big tires on the Mustang. Monza is putting the Split Bumper on a diet with a serious upgrade and Doc is planning the same. Reaper is actually putting a SMALLER motor in his car, as the one that is in there is a bad combination. He is also converting to EFI as many of the others have and the car should be HERE in a few days for me to get started on that. He is also building a "new" lighter car and plans to run both. Dave's Nova is obviously ready and the motor that was in Henson's Vette, is going in another car that will get a crack at the list. The guy with the blown 55, that was in cash days, has purchased a Top Sportsman 55 Chevy from one of my customers and will be taking his shot............Lots of new and diff cars coming Glad to hear there will be a tri-five Chevy in the mix! Since Chief has set the bar for a super lightweight ride, I wonder why Murder Nova is going with a steel body?

Its a Butler Pontiac and I also think it isnt real big, 496? He mentioned that as well, it was somewhere around that size 488 seems to strike something in my mind. I would bet eventually it will be an aluminum butler block with the tiger heads. But for now, the huge weight reduction will get him back up there near the top.

Murder nova is number one. The Crow was number two when it crashed. Just saying darn spoilers, Canadian television is way behind on "new episodes" the import one was just on TV. I just downloaded cash days for the fun of it. Still not bad for an edelbrock headed pontiac I forgot where he said it, but Chief mentioned that his Eddy heads flow 350 cfm on the intake side. He didn't say at what lift. Probably flow 350cfm at .200 once you shove it through with about 30+lbs of boost.

Somewhere I read he was currently in the neighborhood of 50 lbs of boost...

You should always believe what a street racer tells you about their car. Everyone knows they have nothing to hide.
Chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised

Pontiacs are even MORE limited than Mopars, as far as cubic inches, because of bore space.
Chief's motor was done by Butler as stated, has a cast block and Edelbrock heads worked over by Butler. The motor is more or less a twin to the motor in Butler's own Pro-Mod Tempest, which is the quickest true Pontiac powered car in the country.
Chief is supposedly building a better motor with some billet parts, but not to make it bigger, but to make it stronger, so the wick can be turned up...........ie more boost. Stuff on cast motors tend to move around when you hit them with loads of boost. At cash days, they were worried about burning the crank out of the motor because of oiling problems, associated with the block either being cracked, or moving around under boost. He can make more boost with the turbos he has, if the motor could take it
