A lot of mopars on gas as well ..come on now don't act like it's not ...but people will debate mopar ford Chevy til the end of time.. Maybe you are correct, but I am ALWAYS the ONLY mopar there and mine is a pump gas small block on motor only. The only ones faster are nos or big blocks or tube chassis cars. My neighbor has a yates headed small block ford in a Mustang that weighs 2800 and runs 6.60's on motor. HP is HP .. ever think they just cant tune a engine or a chassis... your acting as you have the quickest ride there every week

I enjoy out running friends driving chevys with bigger motors in lighter cars. The only ones faster are big blocks and small blocks with NOS. This happens with EVERY brand. Be it a Mopar, Ford or Chevy, there are loads of cars out there which run to nowhere near their potential, just like there are some of every brand that are over achievers. So I am assuming your comparison is just based on your immediate friends..........because I know there is no way you are claiming you have the quickest vehicle at your weight, with the same cube N/A smallblock of any kind, any where Only at the tracks I race at. Not everywhere.

Most people get or got into Mopars, because they were different, were not belly button cars like everyone else had, or were brought into it by someone else. That someone else for me, was my dad. In the 50s and 60s, he made a regular habit of taking brands that nobody else around here seemed to care much about and make it outrun all his friends..............His first serious effort "hot rod" was a 65 GTO tri-power car, that was a terror on the streets and track around here and old timers still talk to me about the car. Later on, he got on the Mopar kick and ordered a brand new, 70 model 6 pack Challenger, that later became an NHRA SS/GA national record holder. He remained Mopar from that 70 purchase until this day and I followed suit.........BUT, it was different then. Yes the cars were different from most others on the road, but they also performed well and could be made to run as well or better than the other makes. Once the aftermarket got involved heavily, all that changed and it is a well known fact that we as Mopar guys lament every day. The days of affordable and equal HP for dollars spent for the Mopar guys is a non existent thing and we all KNOW it. The thing that keeps most loyal to the brand, is simply the love of the brand and the fond memories of yesteryear. These days, a person new to hot rodding, will again be looking to Mopar in the quest to be different, but the difference now, is it is nearly impossible for him to out run his buddies off brand, given equal money spent and knowledge applied. The parts simply are not there and again, we KNOW it

I went Gen III Hemi so I can eat all the LS cars around here and still be "Mopar". So far I have done just that, until half of them add boost. Mopar has dropped the ball on these engines too by not producing anything aftermarket worth a damn too.
Mopar to the bone!!!

Thumper they all do ..but at least they go easier on them on price ...they also make parts and let other companies make parts to sell to keep prices in line ..not just let the molds set or destroy them so nobody can make parts...but hey that's racing right. It`s all good man and the debates will go on forever.......kinda like this post.......

I guess all my chevy friends around here just don't know what they are doing. And its been that way since the 80's. They all say why are you faster with less motor.

I would like to know how this thread got changed over to Mopar VS the world on the Street Outlaw thread . The show only has 1 mopar morphidite that appears once in awhile and is a heck of a lot faster, OH, it's Chevy powered than most or should I say all mopars that are posting here.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

If your throwing 1000hp worth of gas at a Cheavy, the chances of them running good are pretty good.
Mopar to the bone!!!

No Street Outlaws on TV for awhile. This might help over-come the withdrawal pains. LOL

Murder nova is number one. The Crow was number two when it crashed. Just saying darn spoilers, Canadian television is way behind on "new episodes" the import one was just on TV. I just downloaded cash days for the fun of it. Still not bad for an edelbrock headed pontiac

He didn't say at what lift.

Murder nova is number one. The Crow was number two when it crashed. Just saying Murder nova finished the tv season #1. They have since filmed more episodes. We do not know who #1 is/was at the time of the crash, since that hasn't been televised yet.
