- Rich, did you o-ring those or did Stage V do that? Thanks.

Tim at FHO did the O-rings

- Rich, What the valve sizes, what's the chamber and intake runner size.

Intakes: 2.40, Ferrea, Titanium, 11/32 stem
Exhaust: 1.90, Ferrea, Titanium, 11/32 stem
Special Manley LocCap locks (no lash cap required)
Chambers worked out to be 156 cc.
I didn't measure the intake runner after porting. I just dropped golf balls down the port and then counted them. They flowed over 500 CFM.

rick, if that was meant for me, i'd have to look it up. that was 4 years ago or so, and i got the heads, rocker gear and reciprocating assembly in one shipment from FHO. i'll dig up the receipts, but those will be outdated prices by now.

Dave, if you want it to run on race gas why are you only gonna run 11 to 1 compression? I'm just wondering.

Well 11-1 to 12-1 is were it will end up but even at 11-1 the chance of detonation while racing is too great to risk in my mind - especially running it lean in good air - you will never hear the detonation - putting around the street I may run 50-50 but this crud they call high test today - is just that corrodes everything! Race gas is still cheap insurance in my mind even for my lawnmower!

I don't run a Hemi but my small block is 10.9 comp. and I have never run anything but 93 octane in it. (35* timing)

I assume you dont change the timing when using race
fuel.. it burns slower so you need to have it start
the burn sooner(adding timing).. I've seen this many
times when changing to a higher octane fuel
wave

It'd be nice if you could shave the pistons to put you right at 10.5:1 although I think 11to1 is fine on pump gas, it's not gonna slow the car down. I've always ran 93 octane and have never seen any corrosion, 572Charger has had the same results. If you like race gas that's fine I just always thought it was a major pain and un-needed expense.

I ran 50% race gas in my 69 Dart, then I started just running one gallon of race gas along with 4 gallons of 93 octane. Car went 9.82 with the 500" low deck, 11to1 compression, heads only flowed 325. The last day that I raced the car I tried straight 93 octane, it spun the tires and still went 9.87 at 136mph. No signs of detonation or anything.
A 572 Hemi will be FUN! I'm jealous!

Been running 11.5:1 in my Hemi's for years on 93. They are very tolerant of pump gas. Was itching to go 12:1...We will see...I recently had an issue with mine and its all torn down right now. If the block or heads end up decked, it will be 12:1 ....
