Don't know where he got it, or who from, nor what he paid. I just know he was showing pics of it last night at the taping. This past week, they raced on Thur and Sun nights. Lots of "list" racing at the top. Of course I know the current "order"......but I ain't talking.......LOL!!!

Glad he got another car already.

tboomer...for about $4,000 they'll show up at your local track to sell some T shirts and make a few exhibition passes. That's for ONE of the drivers and his car.

Doc and Monza get $5000 a piece to show up for a night at the track. I know when I was with them at Beacon Dragway in Kentucky on a SAT night, they BOTH sold 350+ shirts at 20 bucks a pop. That is the norm and both said they HAVE sold as many as 500 a night. Usually when they go out of town for an appearance, they arrange it to be one place on a Friday and another not too far away on Saturday.

You get quite a few 20K appearance weekends......you can afford some stuff. These guys are NOT rich. Doc has a big truck repair shop and Monza puts up garage doors for a living

No idea........I have not seen the pics of his car myself, nor talked with him, but it seems plausible

Good for him, glad he found something so quickly and I hope it'll fly with his motor in a much lighter car.

I do have a soft spot in my heart for backhalf nitrous cars like the crow back before it was famous (or doc's car now):

Match racing from the 60's comes full circle. Popular drivers, fast cars, T shirts. Now we need a modern Jungle Pam.

Paint it like the dung beetle so nobody can tell it's kinda a stretch for a street car?

So while the Street Outlaws guys have never "claimed" they are "street" cars, they COULD be if they were so inclined.

Then why do you keep calling my street car a race car?

While it hasn't been seen on TV yet.........after Dave wrecked his car, he is currently driving a Top Sportsman style, late model Vette on the show, until his new Nova is finished. He had to start at the bottom, but is well up now. Just like he did with the Nova..............Obviously lighter cars are going to be the future. If that's what people bring to race you, that's what YOU need to have

Awesome...and I love 1st gen Firebirds

Obviously he will continue to milk the cash cow with the new car.

BTW I suggest a new name not crow, "Cash Cow" has a certain ring to it, eh?

Because that's what it is. It has a full cage, back half with a 4-link and coilovers. That's a RACE car that you choose to drive on the street. It's always been a race car and you haven't done anything to make it less of one

LOL, except take off two naws bottles and corresponding plumbing.

I can't see Street Outlaws except over the web, but it will be cool to see them rocking pro-mods on the street someday

Glad to hear he's doing OK and already got another car. thumbs
As far as it being a "cash cow" I would milk it until it's over also. up I'm sure he knows as well as anyone that it won't last forever.

Why wouldn't he? You see athletes on TV commercials promoting everything from pizza to satellite TV. What are they doing? Milking the cash cow! And they have multi million dollar contracts, these guys don't. I say make it while they can, it'll be over one of these days.

I agree.
Too bad the TV show treats them so poorly with low pay and terrible conditions (they signed up for). But if he has the cash to buy a nearly completed new ProMod, he may not be rich, but he ain't poor either! LOL

Did a little intel and the '68 that was under construction that I thought might be the car Monte was describing was sold just over a year ago, here is how it looked then, now it is finished in White with a blower motor and has hit the track here locally a few times. Cool car can't be many building off this body style.....
