this is what i know are real cars
jim keyes rick johnson chuck comella dave raybour randy hopkins jim pancake george baptiste danny smith
Dean Mink has had a few original Hemi cars but I don't think his current Cuda is an original. Rick Johnson, Wendell Howes and the West Virginia Hillbilly cars are not real to my knowledge. The Gillford Cuda is Bob Reed's old black Cuda, it was also raced by John Archambault in PA as a very sucessfull M/P car. Mark J
Thank you Mark, Also thank-you for all the pictures. You do know the history of these car.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming season. All these stick cars being built, WOW, Indy will be so cool this year, as always. I hear that Randy Warford is building another car, automatic. And the coolest thing I hear and I hope it's true, is Bullet Bob Reed is building a new car with KOS racer Bill May Jr. doing the driving,I was told it would be an automatic. This could really be a good TEAM with the legendary Bullet Bob and Billy's drive to suceed and his resources. I'll touch on Willie Shepards car from Indy. The car is maybe 70% complete, he has got the run around from the guy building it for over 3 years and he is still having a difficult time trying to get some small stuff done by him so it can go to the paint shop. Willie runs a 4spd in his 70 Cuda and he sure has struggled with what to use in this, but yes it will be a automatic car, with the Holtons helping out with the engine components. Well I gotta go back to work, thanks Moparts for #1 mopar site on the web and Merry Christmas

Here is Larry Rifes old car wrecked a few years ago. He eventually died from his injuries just a short while ago.

Here is another. Notice the roll cage is still somewhat square. Also notice the foam in the firewall. This car had been dipped once or twice.

My brother was at the starting line and he said there was a puff of smoke and a hard right turn into the guardrail at about 140 miles and hour. His helmet was found busted in two they are not sure if the helmet came off or was busted off his head he suffered serious head injuries. I think he told me the tranny broke and caused it all.

Here's one for the grist mill- There is a real 68 Hemi SS Dart with a circa-1986 Allyn Lee motor just sitting in a heated shop in Wainwright AB just gathering dust. It's been tubbed and updated to ladder bars and is a fairly nice looking piece. Thought you all might like to know.
Thanks any pictures? Who owns it?
