Well, the deep freeze is setting in now...27F...We have had a mild winter so far, and that is the coldest to date.... Performed a much needed upgrade to the trailer tongue box this past week...Wanted a better front box for the longest time, and came across one at Harbor Salvage for $116 minus my 20% coupon... Pulled the old battery box, and put on the newly painted box and fully wired it for the battery, charger, 110v, 12v light and my winch...Plus the truck will charge it when attached and it has a 20a breaker in between to be safe. And this one is lockable so no one can steel my battery. Also recieved an Indy timing cover from a member here, and blasted it, sanded it smooth, and painted it along with the water pump and pully for the Duster...forgot how rough some of the Indy castings were. I can't leave anything alone anymore.

Paint and bodywork, new scoop. Rewire, lighten the car some. Check the box add some goodies to it. Check the motor, freshen up stuff, add some goodies to it. Mod carbs, bigger air filters, seal carbs to scoop when car comes back. (all to hopefully get a 8 second ticket in my mitt) Also iron out the bugs on the recently road legal '68 'Cuda, fit some sounds 8-) and wait for the nice weather to arrive back.

Randy Believe it or not the truck is getting buttoned up. Going for a fresh paint job in Dec and just picked up a Bruno/CS2 to replace the API 2spd...other than that a couple small wiring issues ( converter helper and different Mag relay)

my new 544 stroker 6pak 70 road runner is running awesome and sad season almost over, but my upgrades are Dana 60 to replace 8 3/4,frame connectors and sticky rears.666 lbs torque, new john cope built tranny, I believe my rear to be the weakest link, so frame connectors should keep everything straight come hammer time Darren

I already got the big one done as I just got my new R3/ Indy head 408 , thrashed to get it ready for yesterday ( last test and tune of the season ) and found out what I already knew that the 4.88s are way to much gear the 408. With 50 more lbs of torque than my 363 it needs less gear so I have to put my 4.10s in. The 363 didn`t like them but they will be great for the 408.

We installed my old 408 in my Sons 3100 pound duster for this years Halloween Classic and it ran a 6.40 ET. I wanted him to take it to PRP the following week to see what it would run in the 1/4 but he didn't want to go. 727 transmission (foot braked) 5500 stall. He went from 4,30's to 4.10's last time he switched gears.

I think so , I tried them with the 363 back in Sept. and it killed my 60ft and E.T. but with more torque they will be good. I ran 10.71 yesterday 1.44 60ft but I am going thru the traps at 7,000. I usually run 4.56s but chipped a tooth last year so I put the 4.88s in. What part of Pittsburgh are you from? I am originally from Greentree for six years then lived in North Hills ( Perrysville, Ross Twsp) until 1973.

Takes me about 55 minutes to get to Pittsburgh Raceway Park.
