let me ask this, was the underhood paint on the cowl and the fender edges nontextured flat black or textured organisol?

I believe this is one of Troy's car before he stripped the paint.

A tailight area detail shot of the "173" mile T/A that Barry Washington took. You can buy a DVD of all the detail shots of this low mile unrestored car from Barry, and check out factory drawings like the one I posted on his Challenger T/A registry and Hammtramk registry websites.
(IIRC the drawings may have been pulled at Chrysler's request, but Chrysler historical was going to make them available?)

I meant "definitely" the tail panel and the trunk lip are black, I'll let someone else clue us in as to which areas got black paint and which got organsol, I know both were used but not every detail of which is used where.

Did the AAR's also get the black under the rear spoiler and rockers? And which color, organosol or flat for under hood? Thanks, Mike

Trim paint or Organisol could be used.

what was the point of going through the trouble of painting the pinch weld on the rocker??? Is that a decal under the spoiler? any reason behind this? around the cowl, did the factory tape it off like that or did they just overspray onto the firewall??? Thanks guys

Pinch welds are ugly, this 'disguises" them.

Quote:

Yes, they come with the T/A stripe kit. The intent with the T/As was that no body color would show from the rear of the car in this area.

They sprayed the black first, then masked it off and sprayed the body color.
