What misinformation ??? As usual this type of thread has left more questions than answers...Heck, between the examples shown they all look different in some way to me !! ......And the people who can show or answer them are'nt going to bother now...NOS examples don't always reflect the variances in production runs with different vendors,product runs, etc...And what actually ended up {from the assembly line}on the vehicles through the year...Oh well at least we again get shoehorned into the cattle shoot with what is "correct" and available for our restos....

I think the misinformation was that the darker blue was the correct style vs. the lighter blue (which was claimed to be correct).

OMG. This has turned into a Benghazi type inquiry. I agree that ECS was merely trying to clear something up. If someone had a NOS one, post it, and let the buyer be the judge comparing other reproductions.

If any one of the commentators did the same exact trade as ECS, I think you would also pipe up with your thoughts. When the shade of blue was said to be too dark, stick it out in the sun for awhile till you are happy with the proper shade you think it should be. The white would yellow too. For me, if 2 developers made the same canister label with the correct font, etc....but different shades of blue, I say they are both correct.
Now if fonts are incorrect, etc, but the blue is too dark or too light, I say the one with the correct font is the right one.

There is no need to increase blood pressure over this. Debates are fine, but no need to get personal. Just my .02.
