dodge and ford wheels interchange--gm wheel center is too small...some of the old trucks have a big spring under the dash on the clutch linkage-----

you probably want to see how big the wheel studs & nuts are on your Dodge, some of the heavy duty trucks have larger wheel studs & lug nuts, those will add an additional challenge to your wheel hunt. If you have the standard 1/2" studs, all is good.

Some of the ford 8 bolt wheels also have a smaller center hole. That center hole can be opened up and then the wheels will work, all the 8 bolt wheel bolt patterns that I have seen are the same. The clearance issue is where the wheel clears the end of the rear axle, and where the center of the wheel sits against the drum face on the front.

A leaking hose on the hydraulic clutch line will cause the pedal to stay down, and will also not allow enough travel to release the pressure plate completely. Gene

8 lug.....I wanna find something that looks stock-ish....bling wont look right on the truck.
Also for the carb fight....I got a carb off a 61 Dart with a slant six....I even rebuilt it.....the old one was JUNK....no saving it.....so onto other issues....she is running great now....I have an issue with the hydraulic clutch....push the pedal in and it doesn't want to come back up by its self.....any advice?

Good to hear you tossed out the obviously junk carb and got it running smile

I like 427's as well....LOL I put one in my 63 Corvette years ago with a 4-speed smile

STA has 17.5" LT tires if you stay with that size. I don't know the cost. I run a set of their 16" tires on a '47 Power Wagon and no problems. If you go with a newer size, I would suggest 16" or 17" as tires are commonly available. 16" wheels should be available used with 8x6.5" bolt pattern from a later dodge (up to about mid 90's when switched to metric sizes). Or available new in some classic styles. Check Summit, put in your bolt pattern and you can see quite a few wheel options. I run US Wheel steelies on a brand F classic PU and like them.

These wheels are usually "lug centric" on a 3/4 ton PU but need to make sure the center register clears the hubs.
