I've got every Technical Service Bulletin from 65 to 75.Every year an index list is published. No mention is made of any problems with the 67 wood wheel in 66/67/68.There were also confidential service bulletins released...like the one covering the warrenty replacement of 69 B Bodys with 4 gears and 3.91's authorizing replacement of the 8.75's with Danas. No such mention of the wood wheel recall in those either.I only have a spotty collection of recall notices...maybe 20 or so from 66/67..no mention of the wood wheel. The 4016CTT wood wheel is even still listed in the Feb 68 edition of the master parts book.I have also heard the recall story....maybe thats all it is....a rare option never recalled ??The 67 Option and Accessories Report shows the following.

Ply A Body 6.1% of 149,517 had wood wheel
Dodge A Body 3.1% of 141,406 had wood wheel
Ply B Body .5% of 134,408 had wood wheel
Dodge B Body .6% of 181,744 had wood wheel

Most popular car in 67 to use the 4016CTT wheel is the Barracuda with 15.5% of total followed by Charger with 11.4% built with wood wheel.

Sounds like the spokes through the chest is just another bit of Mopar folklore.
