I was informed today, that Gateway is having a race this weekend. Sat AND Sun deal and no Drag Week cars will be able to test until after 5pm and they are only talking about running until 9pm. If that is true......gonna be some mad folks........LOL!!! Yes, I'll be racing there this weekend (Victory NSS), so I'll get to see the Drag Week cars...

As far as I know there is a event going on... testing will be after 7:00pm Sunday... at least thats what my buddy said and he is going.... good luck to all of ya

I've been stopping by Dale's after work to check on their progress. Looks like they have 3 cars pretty much ready and 2 that will keep them busy probably till 10pm tomorrow night. 1 still has a motor that hasn't fired up and broke in the cam yet, they might do that in the tech lines to keep up with tradition.
Don't want to steal too much of Billy's story but I thought I'd give you guys a little update.

I just talked with my buddy (quick52) he was trailering his vet down this year.. on the way he blew out a trailer tire(cheapo Carlises)I told him yesterday when I was helping him load up that those tires are JUNK.. maybe now he knows... they went and bought another tire so he had a spare... but they are there now

At the tail end of the tech line... They all made it. I'm sure he was at the end of the already in group.. I just talked with my buddy and he said the line for tech is LONG.... still... for the waiting list and the drive up people... this was 5 minutes ago

Quick question - I may go to the Grove tomorrow, are spectators allowed in the pits?
Rumor has it no one other than competitors are allowed in the pits.
I could understand why, but I'm sure alotta guys would like to see the cars up close.
Thanks, and good luck to who ever is running! In the past they were allowed in the pits... but not in the one area where certain cars are held in quarantine for the day... it sounds like any car that runs 8s or lower will be there at some time during the week
