The clearance b/t my chrome cover and the stock fuel tank on my E body is very close. If the aluminum cover is much thicker, I'm not sure it will clear.

I have a DTS cover with the preload cap bolts on the Barracuda, Back when I built it it needed a cover so popped for the 150 bucks at that time. Does it work/help? That's the only thing I haven't broke. As to looking good, I looked at it last week while hooking up the tie downs, it was pretty cruddy .

I have a new strange 60 that came with the stamped steel cover. Not much to look at, but it did have a magnet inside which I like. Bought a chrome cover, it didn't have a magnet inside. Will probably put the original steel one back on to keep the magnet.
