I have a 71 Challenger and I am looking to buy a pressure vacuum (non-vent) gas cap that fits under a flip top. Don't want an aftermarket locking gas cap.

Any dealers / companies out there that care them?

I would start by calling Stant. # is 765-825-3122. I had an old Stant locking cap on my Challenger, and had lost the key. Had to drill it off. The part number was obsolete. After trying numerous caps from the auto parts store, with no success, I called Stant. I gave them the old part number, and they gave me the new superceded number, which I was able to order from the auto parts store.

I believe mine is non-vented, and I can get the part number for you. Not sure if it would be the exact same cap or not, as the Challengers had a couple of different notch patterns on the filler necks.

Sorry, missed the part about you not wanting a locking cap. I'd try Stant anyway, as they may have what you're looking for.

I have never seen anyone selling original style gas caps, they were all locking under the flip caps on the challengers.

I have part numbers for after market locking caps for both filler necks on challengers, but that is not what your looking for.

That add is incorrect, imo. Because a cap like that never came under a flip cap.
The flip cap in his picture is missing the weather seal for the original locking cap too. That picture says volumes about the seller to me.

You can buy the same fitting cap at any auto parts store for around 5-10 bucks.

Thanks for some of the input guys, I will check with Stant and if all else fails I can go with an aftermarket locking gas cap.
