I had blue goto 12v constant (same as the big post wire) red and green both on blue run circuit.

Tried a couple differnt combos and found this: if blue has 12v, red has 12v, green has 0v. Every diagram I have come across they say if your not using red (lamp) tie it on to green. By doing this green now has a constant 12v as well causing all sorts of problems. Question can I just cut out red completely or should I connect it to the blue wire?
As for the green wire can I just leave it on the blue wire with white stripe (run) even though it asks for a switched 12v? If no what wire in the engine bay can I use that would serve as a good switched source ?

the OE ign1 blue "run" wire is the best switched 12V source (for this situation).
