What an awesome group of photos. I spent my whole childhood growing up around my families original owner 71' B5 340 Roadrunner and when I turned 16 they let me race that beauty and click off 13 second passes, it ran 12.80's when Dad raced it with a solid cam and steeper gears, this was with a very mild iron headed 340 in a 3800 pound car, that was quick back then. Right now it's completely torn apart getting a restoration and a big block. When it's done I'll tell him who he can cruise with, you guys! I put all the 71-72 Runner pics on my computer on a disc last week and my wife printed them for him. Looks like we need to do another disc now. I love these cars and hope to give my Dad's car the ProSport treatment someday!! Click to make larger:
