If the shroud will bolt up except drain and trans lines can you relieve those areas? A careful cut with jig saw or sawsall may fix it. This is what I would do , with an engine that is almost 100 cubes larger you are going to need all the cooling help you can get with that narrow radiator.

Ok then let's nip this in the bud, I'd rather buy a better radiator to keep this 544 6 pack cool, so which is my best choice for 70 road runner , no a/c or power steering just alternator with March pulley serpentine kit and new clutch fan, keeping in mind the opening in the radiator support brace is only 22" wide, do I want a 4 row be cool or a griffen? Lower hose is on driver side upper hose on pass side, it has a new cope built 727 which I planned to run trans lines to radiator out to b&m trans cooler back to radiator then back to trans. Just want to do this one time, any advice or part# radiator would be appreciated thank you.

I have had good luck with the Mancini aluminum "muscle car" radiator and matching custom shroud. In a '70 E with 496 and AC. From what I have seen it has more ~100 HP more cooling vs the Champion. I run the 26". It may work if everything is just right with 22"... HV water pump slightly overdriven, big fan and shroud, tuneup just right ect. Its a lot easier to do with 26" though. http://www.manciniracing.com/manciniracing27.html

Installing a 26" radiator in a 22" opening will require drilling at least 2 extra mount holes. Part of the added width of the 26" core will be blocked but not all... it still helps to install the 26" radiator in most models. To get full flow through the 26" you have two choices. 1) simply cut out the sheet metal that blocks the core... perhaps install some tily of edge or trim to make it neat 2) remove the 22" core side shield/bulkhead (usually one side only) and install the 26" version. Based on quick check, Y1 has the full core support for the 26" radiator and I did not see any individual side pieces (checked Goodmark and Sherman). https://www.yearone.com/Catalog/chrysler.b.body/body/radiator-.-core-supports-_-brackets

thank you Stu, looks very nice, trans cooler mounted nicely also. One of the best additions i did was putting in the Champion radiator and 190 thermostat. The other day i sat in dead stop traffic for over two hours and the car never overheated a bit. Now that was in 70 degree temps but still just idling for that long was pretty darn good i thought. If you saw once you cut the larger area out than its it nice to roll the edge too so its not sharp.
