If the car was mine, and the driver side mirror is a non-remote unit, I would take the mirror for myself & give the rest of the car to you.

Once the 8.75 is out, you'll sell odd parts here or there. You'll recoup after labor, and getting the word out. What's your time worth?

I was going to swap a 9 1/4 in it to keep it a roller.

Place if for sale with a price of $7,000. Justify the price by pointing out the hemi Charger that sold on Barret Jag-Hoff for $140,000. Include terms like: "All original, wont last long, good hotrod, streetrod or musclecar project" Yea baby!

or run this car across the block at B-J, they could give tetanus shot's to anybody who wanted to sit in it.

interior pics will be nice though! ( with or without racoons )

If you have the luck I have, youll have that car sitting around, finally get tired of seeing it and just give it away. 2 or 3 months later, youll find another car your really interested in and need parts, end up doing research only to find out the car you gave away has that expensive part you need.

That has happened to me more times than I care to count. I hope the next c-body I find is a 68 Chrysler 300 convertible 440 4spd car, Blue on blue with a white top.

Quote:

i could use the front fenders on my 69 sport fury also the trunk lid if its nice

Trunk lid has rust on the inside from mouse/rats nests and along the bottom lip. Fenders are sweet. Please take the whole car off my hands, you could probably find other parts to use.

Look closely at that engine picture, the raccoons chewed the radiator and heater hoses right to the edge of the stainless steel hose clamps. I got the motor to turn over, but wouldn't start.

I like ice cream, can you tell us more about the Ram behind it?

My dad's old truck, nice body very little rust, good 318, junk 727 trans. He wants to convert it to 440 4speed.

I'll put the car for sale over in the c-body section.

If it were my car id fix it up a little to get it driveable. Then either sell it or play around with it. No way would I stick a 440 in it. Contrary to popular belief, mopars dont have to have 400+ cubes to run.

too much rust on that one when you can still get rust free ones for cheap. pull the fenders, hood, grill and send the rest to the crusher.

It has 10" drums on the front, the kind with the fins all over them.

If the shroud is 26" and unbroken, there's 1/4 to 1/3 of your investment. If the dome lamp has a switch grab that as well. Maybe fan and clutch. Save the jack equip too.

Just saw a 70 T&C Wagon that makes your Fury look like it was garaged.

I got it in a four car deal, and can't decide what to do with it. 1969 Fury II The good: almost perfect front clip, fenders, hood, grille, bumper are all very nice. The bad: 318 auto on the column, odometer reads 83,XXX, owner says it has 183,XXX miles, has been sitting since 1983. The ugly: rusty fred flintstone floors, trunk, lower quarters, dutchman panel, had a family of raccoons or something living in it, interior is trashed.

We dig coal!

Take it south of the Border and Rent it out........that trunk could hold 10 mexicans

Part it out as best you can, then crush or derby the remains. I'm a C-body guy and I've been down this route - some aren't worth saving but the parts *will* eventually be valuable if you don't mind sitting on them for a while.

Parts I see to inspect and save, most of which are 1-year-only:
doghouse
bumpers
ignition switch/lock
taillights
trim around taillights
trans should be a small-block 727, which might be a little scarce nowadays

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.

This C Body and Fury collector says; keep what will help you and sell the rest as a whole car or just the good parts.

I'm not anti C body or anything, but that things days are over; the small block and rust guarantee that it is a parts car at best.

What to do with it? Depends how much energy you have. Me, I'd try to convice somebody that they should have it for parts. The nice thing to do would be to save the good stuff from the crusher, but I couldn't be bothered.

I have to say I'm a little surprised with all the "sell it to a C-body fanatic" responses, 'cause then HE is faced with the same question: response A leads directly to response B! Nobody is every fixing this car and to think otherwise is a little naive I think.
