I am in need of a small block housing all of the inexpensive one seem to keep leaking. anyone had any luck with one that doesn't break the bank. I can use a straight up style or a 90 towards the drivers side
Thanks,

Is the rail on the Mancini waterneck as thin as it looks in the photo? My chrome Moroso is already warped and leaking.

I was also told that Napa sells a stock waterneck for $6 that seals well.
And 440source has a chrome one with a super thick 1/2" base.

On my W-2 intake I had a issue.. there wasnt a shelve in the
hole to set the thermostat on and the goose neck didnt have it
either... I ended up welding a lip inside the hole and ground
it for the thickness... I also used a larger stat and ground
the OD down to just fit the hole... works fine now but what a
PITA... I use a billet chevy housing since they are the same
but this one has the O-ring and turnable hose fitting
wave

After struggling with trying to seal a gasket style housing I bought a Billet Specialties (90820) housing with the o-ring. I bolted it on with no sealer, just using the o-ring. It's been off and on several times and hasn't leaked in 6 years of use. I bought another one for a new build and did the same, no sealer and no leaks. It's worth the extra money.

Is it a good billet aluminum that won't warp? Looks like a nice piece if they're still available.

I'm gonna have to order the Mancini waterneck, I looked at the $6 one at Napa yesterday, looks like a nice quality piece but it doesn't have the widened area at the top of the snout to help hold the hose on, seems like it'd be easy for the hose to slip off.

I have the billet one from Mancini also. Been using it for several years and no leaks ever.

This billet aluminum water neck is only $17 for a Chevy and I've read that the Chevy ones are the same bolt pattern as Mopar. The thermostat might be different but those are cheap.

Billet aluminum won't warp, is that correct?

Same pattern as Chevy but Mopars have a recess in the flange for a t-stat. Chevy the recess is in the intake.

That's good to know. I thought the recess was a different size, requiring a chevy thermostat. Didn't know the recess was in the intake.
I had my heart set on that $17 billet piece!

I like the $28 billet 440source waterneck and their $15 chrome one with the 1/2" thick base, I just didn't want to have to order it and wait for it. Shipping is $9.99 for each.
It sucks to be on a tight budget and a tight time schedule.

It says they're solid aluminum, does that mean it's billet or not?

I'm about to buy the $17 billet Chevy piece from Summit and just not run a thermostat lol.
I've never even ran a thermostat in my previous cars but they had electric water pumps.

I installed the Mancini waterneck, cost about $39.50 to my door, went cruisin tonite with no leaks. Definitely worth the money! It has a much thicker base than their picture shows and it's billet so it shouldn't warp.
