Hey Fasbrd I installed an assy line 6.1L Hemi and not the MP kit. A shame they did not include the detailed info you need for the accessories. This is where MP/DC fails as compared to GM Perf Parts If the accessory bracket on your engine is the same a standard 6.1 Hemi, it very likely you will not be able to use the a/c compressor (mounted in diff position). I believe the generator fits but mounts with a different bolt pattern. I personally used all the accessory drive components for a 6.1L Hemi , ran into issues with the remote reservoir P/S pump and now running a Bouchillon power steering pump which has the reservoir attached. I am pretty sure it is a 5.7 Hemi application for the p/s pump they sell, just not sure what application

The front engine covers need to be swapped to run 5.7 accesories on a 6.1, I believe
Time machines sells a 5.7 accessory kit for a high end look and I think it works on a 6.1. I got the 6.1 accessories from Bouchillon performance, they address the power steering issue (or alleged issue)with a couple fittings. Their price for the front accessories were cheaper than MP's listed prices
The alterK makes the 6.1 swap a breeze..

Rob,
The 6.1 uses the same front cover plate as the automotive 5.7 hemi and accessories should swap. The truck 5.7 hemi uses a different front cover plate and I know for sure that the alternators are not the same, not sure about the other accessories.
Forgot about the car vs truck 5.7.....thanks

Hey Rob,
How is the project coming along? Are you still posting pics over on the Lat-G site? I haven't been there in awhile.
I am assuming the front accessory plate that came on the kit 6.1 is the same unit that comes on all 6.1 from the factory. I don't think they make differnet versions. Anyhow, I can get the stock alt. and a/c compressor at a very substantially reduced price.
I looked on Bouchillon's site, but only saw listings of combo's but no pics of what is actually supplied. Am I missing something? I would like to see what their configuation looks like.
I am getting the supplies to finish up the install on the rear 4-link. Been dragging my feet something terrible.
Any pics of troublsome areas with clearence problems would be great. Also..... How many of you used the stock location for the a/c compressor mount? If so, how did you run your lines from the left front of the engine compartment over to the right firewall area/evap???
Thanks for the input guys. I know I have asked some of these questions before, but as you all have put your cars together, I appreciate your input and tips on avoiding some of the fabrication mistakes that take time to change and correct.
Thanks...please keep the info coming.
Happy New Year!!!
Gar
Gary, took a couple months off my car....but cutting the trans/driveshaft tunnel out as we speak!!
Since you have the alterK, I dont think you will have any clearance issues in the RR. In an Abody the Alternator hits the flange on the frame rail when using the factory offset of the chassis
I am putting the AC compressor in the stock 6.1 location. I have a Vintage air setup so we put the bulkhead behind the intake manifold on the firewall, then plumbed hi press lines inside the car.
Pic is the Bouchillon accessories. It's all MP stuff with the exception of a couple power steering fittings and reservoir (which I didnt use).

Thanks for the pics. I too took time off and will start back up in the next week or two. Hope to have all the suspension, engine, trans fabbed in by the end of winter. Hey...I just noticed your location in Portland. My oldest daughter lives in "The Hills" section. Maybe we can get a when I visit the next time?

808Cuda, We have a Duster and I was thinking 383 or a Gen 3 Hemi. Not knowing much about the Gen 3's, I did a google search and found this site. It had all you had posted up til now. I must say you did an outstanding job! After reading your posts, I joined the sit.
