I've run both with good results. My race car runs Eddy 1407 (supposed junk) 750's. I removed the chokes, went up one step with jets and installed the proper step up springs. Car has been 9.12@147.7, 3340lbs. I also saw a Hemi Road Runner last fall run 8.60 with 2 1407's as well. Both cars are on motor only. Doug

I run Eddy 1407, (supposed junk) 750's. I removed too the choke, never had problems with this carb...
