Here are 2 window stickers from the same 1972 Charger SE, the first is based on "tentative pricing" the second has adjusted prices.

model year Lynch Rd. "2A"

07/17 SATURDAY (717) - date on bottom of window sticker #1 WHAT DOES THIS DATE REPRESENT?
07/21 WEDNESDAY (721) - "scheduled production date"
07/28 WEDNESDAY (728) - date following DESTINATION CHARGE window sticker #2 WHAT DOES THIS DATE REPRESENT?
09/28 TUESDAY (928) - date on bottom of window sticker #2 WHAT DOES THIS DATE REPRESENT?

A27 - routing code

I am not certain the above '70 LA built Road Runner is an authentic window sticker.

Help me out on this observation.....this sticker has been with the car since I purchased it in 1981. I would like more information if possible.

while I'll agree that window stickers varied & do have some inconsistencies:

NO "region code" below Vehicle Order Number
NO "dealer code" below Vehicle Order Number
an October "date" at the bottom
a Hamtramck "route code" at the bottom

the above & its "pristine condition" lead me to the conclusion - reproduction w/errors (NOT recreated in the presence of an intact original)

Thanks for the education. Amazing that as early as 1981 this sheets were being re-produced by people. After close scrutiny I also notice that the charge for "high impact paint" is not on my sheet nor does the destination charge look to be right based on others you have shown.

The destination charge is possibly accurate - it is based on shipping from DETROIT no matter which plant actually built the car.

Here's some dates from a single car that I've seen lots of paperwork for - but NO car.

the route code "A12" - represents "M & G Convoy, Inc." truck shipment from the Lynch Rd. plant to a dealership in northeast Ohio check out the '80 Volare cop-cars.

In 1968 Ryder entered the new-automotive carriage business when it acquired M & G Convoy, Inc., and expanded it with the purchase of Complete Auto Transit, Inc., in January 1970. Ryder's automotive carriage services were used by General Motors Corporation and Chrysler Corporation for the transport of new automobiles to dealerships. Also around this time, Ryder entered the dedicated contract carriage business, in which it provided transportation and distribution services customized for its clients.

Take this 71 Cuda window sticker, does anyone know the meaning of the 930 date code under the destination charge? The car has a 9/70 door sticker 9/17/70 consumer info sheet and a 1002 date on the window sticker so did it roll off the assembly line in Sep. or Oct.?

September - It's been said the door decal is placed on the vehicle shortly before it is considered "JOB COMPLETE".

1971 model year Hamtramck "1B"

9 - 70 - door decal
09/17 THURSDAY (9/17/70) - consumer information sheet
09/23 WEDNESDAY (923) - "scheduled production date"
09/30 WEDNESDAY (930) - date following DESTINATION CHARGE WHAT DOES THIS DATE REPRESENT?
10/02 FRIDAY (1002) - date on bottom of window sticker WHAT DOES THIS DATE REPRESENT?

B28 - routing code

Any chance you could get the K-frame date for this 'Cuda?

I'll get the date off the K-frame tomorrow, also car was picked up at dealership on 10/9, not sure if that's the date it arrived or not.

K-frame date is 2670 1 *Edit* could possibly read 2070 1 hard to make out the second digit.

the A12 crowd has found the K-frame to be the latest (closest to production date) dated part on the car

IMO, the 267 makes perfect sense!

Good info to know. Any idea why the consumer info sheet would be dated 9/17?

If the window sticker was put on at the factory. How did they know where it was going? Is there a dealer code on the build sheet?
