The 71 service manual talks about restricted suspension travel being required with G60's, and the best I could ever find out was the spacer thing. I put G60's on my 71 Road Runner without any problems, but it has bigger wheel wells than a E body I think. Frank Baladson has these spacers, I think.

That is incorrect, the biggest tire for 70-71 E-Body is F 60-15.
The only 70 E-Body to receive a G 60-15 was the T/A and AAR on the rear axle.
