Planning on being there if there is an AH Hemi shootout and we ain't broken. Running Belle Rose the weekend before. Also planning on Jeremy's Coronet with the Hemi 99 in it so stacker full. Well, we are out! Snapped (I believe) the input shaft on 1st time run this morning so glad now it hasn't sold yet, four passes yesterday and one burnout today, not the way I would want somebody getting my car. So need to send my used back up converter in and wait till it gets back then put my spare trans in or get this one fixed first. Will also need to send the converter that is in it now to see if it was damaged, most likely putting the high compression 501" back in and sale the 572" outright or keep for another project to bring the price down, I guess time will tell.

sorry to hear Keith..... If it would have happened at MaTS we would have loved to try and make it 2 for 2 for making runs in the morning!

Sorry to hear about the carnage Keith. Hopefully the damage is minor and an easy fix. Don broke his at the MATS last year but we rounded up the parts and got him going again. Hopefully yours is similar in scope.

ive never been....im really thinking of making the 9 hour drive. i have quite a list of parts im looking for...is the manufactures midway pretty big? looking for a few things from Auto Metal Direct. like a quarter panel for my fast back, and a trunk floor! how does it work normally, do we buy from them before the show and have them take it for pick up to save on shipping?

looks like a 3 day spectator pass is $60 bucks?

I was thinking about going, but with dumping a ton of cash in the duster this winter and just buying a house, I won't be able to afford it. Maybe next year...

I stopped and checked out that Petty blue ride last year.... for some reason.

I'm still not sure about going. Didn't enjoy it much last year. Swap Meet was pretty small and the racing, well, too many classes and not enough cars.

Well we hope you come anyway. Just come shoot the breeze or hang out. We try to make the evenings at the track fun for those who stay there anyway.

I'll be there driving aarcuda's 73 360 Duster. I'm talking to the Mettler's about bringing their 7 sec Pro Stock truck. It depends on geting the engine back in time.
