Unfortunately they had the CAM cars run first thing in the AM! I know it sounds like whining but the truth is Mary's Falkens like the cool, and my Hankooks like the heat. Any other run group would have at least given me a fighting chance/ dose of confidence. The course was fast and easy to figure out, the Valiant felt loose in the cold, particularly the first two laps. I was very happy the Valiant squeaked out 2nd place, only behind Mary by 1.3 seconds...
still a "valiant" effort by you!

Sickness Tom! I bet MUuMuu will never be the same again! I wonder if bigger T-bars might be in your future? Or custom sway bars?

You forgot to tell them that you got an award that evening for most DQ's. He blew straight through the brake zone about 4 or 5 times. I think I ate more cones then him but I kept my car inside the course. It was quite amazing, all of the old muscle kept blowing through the brake zone. Most people had to let off right at the end of the slalom because there would have been no way of stopping in time. Although, all of the newer Camaros and Mustangs (4000 lb cars) had plenty of room to stop adequately. Also, the old muscle seemed to have just as good of times as the new muscle. And you can see my extremely large bicep in some of your photos!

Roll Center favors the Vette. A Lot Ya whose idea was this Valiant thing anyway? Well quit messing around with date coded stainless hardware and get YOUR Vette going!

From what I heard that is a pristine, numbers matching car. You can't just tear up such a fine example of history and Corvettitude. People will murder him!

Tom -- since you're car is primarily a smooth-pavement autocross purpose-built car, I highly suggest you get bigger TBs (~1.18 at the minimum, as well as eventually try 1.22, 1.24.. don't make quick decisions.... work with them for a few events/or a season or two, as well as perhaps stiffen the rear leafs... stiffer shocks, bigger sway bars, balance the weight at the corners in competition-ready weight.. with the driver and the approximate load (fuel) you'd be typically running.... it becomes a complete package to be the goal. Remember... your car runs on smooth flat surfaces and is autocross competition intended. Your tires are saying "help me stick so stiffen me up.... prevent excessive lift/dive".
