2 years. AGM Mopar reproduction battery. Never again unless they want to cover it for some reasonable period of time. Car wasn't even a trailer queen and garaged too.

Don't judge all AGM batteries by the Mopar restoration ones. I ordered a restoration Mopar AGM battery from New Castle back in 2004 soon after they were introduced. I had been using Orbital batteries in my daily drivers and really liked the “no acid mess” feature of the new AGM technology. New Castle’s battery appeared to be the best of both worlds – vintage appearance with sealed AGM internals. It's a long story, but I agree with your statement "never again". Which is really unfortunate because those restoration AGM Mopar batteries are an awesome idea.

One word of advice - if you do go the AGM route, be sure to purchase a battery charger specifically designed to charge AGM batteries. Schumacher, for example, sells them. AGM batteries require a slightly higher charging voltage than traditional batteries.

I have a red top Optima that is almost 12 years old, still works great. I like the Sears Die Hard /Odyssey battery and will probably use that when my Demon is street ready.

I'm sure this is not what your thread is asking but I've had it with buying the best.

In suspension parts or tools and most everything else. The best is usually about right.

For batteries. The best battery can be in a car you are selling, die from a light being left on and ruined if frozen or damaged.

I'd rather buy a battery for a good deal and would be very satisfied if it lasts longer than 6 years. Unless the hood is open and you have to look at the cheapness. Then it's Die Hard, Eliminator, Interstate or factory correct.
