My Challenger vert SPD is A19 (October 19th 1969) it does not have the brackets or a threaded insert, the valance does have the unused hole, just like every other Challenger I've worked on.

Now we are getting somewhere. We can now assume that cars built up to 10/11/69 would have them. I wonder if there would be much of a difference with build plants. I looked at my crossmember and and noticed that there is a tab where it looks like a hole would exist for the bracket but it is not drilled out. We can now assume that production of this bracket stopped somewhere between 10/11/69 and 12/19/69 since it looks like my car did not have the bracket. I had heard that this bracket was used for additional support but then a decision was made that it was no longer necessary and was no longer used. Thanks for everyones input. Gerry.
