I was lucky to get a BRAND NEW complete 6.4 intake including fuel rails, injectors, and throttle body. Brand new, never run. The pile of parts is starting to get bigger, I am down to needing pistons, machine work,(or block, if MA Mopar produces more 6.1s) control box and the usual replacement parts for a build, like bolts, timing chain, some gaskets, oil pump, etc. If the blocks are scheduled to be released as promised on the 8th of this month, I have one on order. If not, I hope to find a nice 6.1 block to work with. Tha would give me 402+ cubes with the 3.888 crank.

I couldn't figure out a way to run the two fours without cutting the hood. I decided it would be nicer to have the original hood as is and also the fuel injection advantage. I here the FI with the variable runners is worth a bunch of mid to low rpm torque, which doesn't hurt my feelings either. The price on the FI intake was very good. I hope I can return the favor to the seller some day
How is the variable runner intake operated.. is that a vac thing or a elec motor

The manifold runners can be switched by an rpm switch, or a computer if it is capable. There are variable runner intakes in polymer that are a copy of the 6.1 barrel intake as well, I think they come from newer truck 5.7 motors. These have a straight intake rather than the slanted one on the 6.4 intake.

Overall probably the smarter way to go unless you run a scoop and a big coin wet intake like the Drag Pak or a Hogan.....

I was thinking the RPM switch also... but does the door open with a elec motor or a vac motor

It was good talking to ya about your project the other day Greg. I hope that lump plays out well for you. I am trying to get my son to buy his Dragpack manifold now while he is thinking about it.
