I didn't know Bill made these (cool item Bill!).
MOST cars had them removed after installation but occasionally a car got through with them still attached (the couple I've seen were on 66 cars). I have some originals (Hemi and small block versions) that I use when painting a highly detailed engines to get all the small details right (the small areas they cover when the engine is painted should be bare iron with no paint, etc.) but I would remove them afterwards and not leave them on the engine.

Engine lifting brackets used at Trenton Engines Plant for big block engines can typically be found on marine engines. The factory never removed them from those engines.
