At 4:00pm the Tuesday before PRI last year, I decided my schedule would allow me to attend, at 10:50pm that night, I left So Fla and drove straight to Indy. It was worth it then, it was worth the years prior, but not this year for me, I just can't get my ducks in a row. But its not Tuesday yet. Anybody having the chance to attend should at least once. The technology and the talent is very impressive.
Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Passes are easy to get and free, if you approach it the right way. If you have a friend who owns a business and attends, you can be added to his list easily. If you have a certain company you deal with a LOT, many times they will add you to their "guest" list and you can get a pass. If you want to do it RIGHT.......name your company "whatever Racing", get some business cards and a license, show those credentials and you are good to go. You can even do this AT the show and they set you up on the spot. You only have to set it up once. The next year they send the forms for you to add or subtract names from your list and then they mail the passes to you.
I will be there. Have attended EVERY PRI show but one. Will be working in the Holley/NOS booth of course.
This is a TRADE show. You are there to showcase your products to potential buyers and set up contacts with those buyers. BUT, that "buyer" you are targeting is NOT the end user. You are trying to lure the company that is going to buy 1000s of carbs, not the guy down the street who may buy ONE. That may sound harsh, but thats the way it is. This is just NOT an "open to the public" type event. While I understand everybody, me included likes to walk around and look at the new "cool guy" parts, that is not what PRI is about. It is supposed to be pretty hardcore and "industry people" only......................... Now a race team, your backyard garage, your body shop, your speed shop, machine shop, whatever, IS classified as "in the industry" so like I said above, passes are pretty easy to get. There are ALWAYS one after the other of "Race Teams" coming by the booth and telling us how much we should "help them".........Really?, I think that is backwards buddy. The question is how does ME, giving YOU parts, help MY business. Now if you have a legit and well thought out proposal that outlines that should happen, by all means, show it to me..........but if you think you just "deserve" some free parts from various companies, chances are you are going to be sorely disappointed................That last paragraph reveals the main reason the "public" is not allowed. After 3 days of hearing how many FREE parts you should be GIVING away, you are ready to choke somebody out......LOL!!!

I use to get passes all the time when I was working in engineering(Chrysler) but I had a hard time getting the time off... Chrysler didnt want to pay to go to the show.. they did offer to pay for the SEMA show because I worked on alot of those cars.. but I never went
