Hvae a 1990 ramcharger with a speedo that isn't working. this year went to the speed sensor set-up instead of a speedo cable like earlier odels. Well can anybody recomend a shop to repair these old dodge IPC clusters?

later model dodges run the speedo off the antilock tone wheel---the electronic sensor where the old tranny speedogear is talks to the computer about the shifting--------but i dont know the year it started in use----it could be as simple as the tone wheel sensor being bad/wiring damaged....

I believe 1998 was the first year for the differential sending unit. His VSS is attached to the transmission much like the old cable units.

I'm sorry I don't know any more, neither of my units has malfunctioned yet. One just rolled past 325,000 miles.

All ready tested the circuit it is the IPC board is the issue, the sensor is on the side of the transmission, you are thinking of newer rams after 95.

There use to be a place here that rebuilt IPCs but they have since closed and moved to miami. Never used them but was hoping some one on here has had one rebuilt before and could give me first hand experience of the shop.

Oh well guess i will hunt the old interwebz, thanks anyways peeps
