Nice Personally, I couldn't stand having most of the high impact colors, but to each their own. Dave

Oh well, I don't have to worry about fading paint;
No, but you do have to worry about the car jumping out of park and trying to kill you.
I assume you were able to get the paint on the new hood to match the rest of the car?

Hi Dave, I had a fugly F-5 GTX that I painted the brightest mixing color yellow I could find, Indy Cylinder Heads used the car in their advertising, It was in all the Mopar Magazines, It won 1st place at many shows and was features in Popular Hot Rodding winning the "picture perfect award" winning a slug of Mother's polish products, Engine Master magazine did a article on the car and Flowmaster used it in a article in a Mopar Mag. If it was F-5 or F-8 I really doubt it would have been so popular. When I tell people It was puke green people would say I'm glad you didn't repaint it that color!! To each his own life would be boring if we all liked the same colors

Absolutely...
Not to mention that there was no shortage of green when these cars were new...
I remember how the 'impact' colors stood-out from a sea of green and brown when new...
Over the top-eye catchers...
It was all about making a statement...

They tell you that and all I get is compliments on my EF8 car's color.....to each their own indeed.
If changing the color of your F5 car (and I'll admit that F5 isn't one of my favorites and I'd never compare it to dark green like EF8 or GG1) makes you happy then good on you......I personally don't like color changed cars but as you said; to each their own.
I can't stand some colors....but I seldom make little faces on a thread with a bunch of guys that own cars in those colors....figured it was rude but again...to each their own.
I love dark green; I had a 70 442 in Sherwood Green Metallic and I ordered a brand new Jeep TJ in dark green as well. I've never wanted a yellow or blue car and couldn't abide a pink one myself.

Yeah, colors and tastes change over time; non-colors like black, white and silver have been the most popular by far over the last 10 years.....my latest new vehicles have comprised of one white BMW, two silver Mercedes and one white Mercedes. Luxury cars are overwhelmingly silver, black or white. According to this article, browns and greens are poised for a comback...well see, I guess. http://www.autonews.com/article/20140731...scape-basf-says"resale red" has always had a stigma associated with it for me as so many cars were treated to a low quality red repaint and flipped....got so I avoid even original red cars. We owned a service station in the late '60's and early '70's and one of the things I like about the muscle era cars and Mopars in particular is the wide color palette available in both exterior and interior colors.....hard to get excited about another new white Dodge with a grey interior (exactly like 500,000 other cars built exactly the same)....in those days, every car seemed unique. I love green.
With all the haters, that just leaves more green cars & green interior cars available for me.
My car has green interior as well.

F8 is my favourite Mopar color. Along with the Browns, it may well have been a color of it's time, but that to me makes it all the more appealing. I don't know why some people feel the need to post on 'green car' threads how much they hate it; I don't care for red/ purple/ pink cars, but if some ( most? ) of you do, then good luck to you. I'm willing to bet that if Steve McQueen had driven a dark green Charger in a movie then we would be over-run with green Chargers that were originally red.
The Charger Steve McQueen was in the chase with was black!!!! Black is probably the most popular color on a 68 to 70 Charger
