This is a Magnum HP kit, with a 100 amp mini alt.
Sorry about the pic, I took it with the engine on the stand upside down, then rotated it, but it looks funny.

The DMI ones that Magnum HP sells are awesome. I bought 2 so far with their pulleys, and they are head and shoulders above any other cobbled up junk on the market.

I have a setup that works with a motorplate. The motorplates that I sell come with the hole locations marked for this mount.

Will the DMI fit with a motor plate? Or just the elephant ears?
Thanks,
Ed

You may need too trim the plate but it will work. It can be set up to also be a crank trigger bracket. They make one for the std size pickuo and also a mini sized pickup. I needed the smaller pickup because my frame rails are narrow and the big pickup was very close to the alternator.

Big pickup.

Small pickup

I have the DMI one also, It is a very nice piece. I did add an addtional brace to the backside of the altenator mount to just steady the alt at high revs.

Andy,
Where can your plate and brackets be purchased?

I modified the CNC profile on my motorplates some time back so they'll work with the Doty bracket. Personally I'd rather hang the alternator from the motor plate if it is there but there might be reasons why people want to combine the two things together.

Mancini carries them but Bob Mazzolini is a dealer for AR Engineering stuff so you can always swing by his shop. Bob doesn't usually stock the motor plates or alternator mounts but maybe nobody has ever asked him for them.
