If i remember right, f-stock avs hc 340, e-stock tq 340 hc, g-stock tq 340 lc, been awile. Still,what a great accomplishment!!

I don't know the current "Stock" rules but a factory 72 340 was a LC TQ engine

The Kids name is Austin Williams and he had a very good year. He drives well! If you google his name with Stock, NHRA or other keywords pictures come up.

I haven't followed NHRA Stock Eliminator for years. Is this guy the first Mopar racer to have won the NHRA champsionship since Chuck Rayburn did back in the mid '90s w/ his B/SA '71 440-6 Challenger?

AVS fits E, F, & G, HC TQ fits D, E, & F, & LC TQ fits F, G, & H. The middle being the natural class.

Yes, you can move up and down just by adding or taking off weight but the three basic engine combos hp ratings are set, Avs hc, TQ hc and TQ lc. Pounds per Hp. The years don't mean much, NHRA don't know a 70 from a 72. From the times i would say he's running a light weight LC

They do know the years. Try running and AVS with a 71 grille. OR LC with 70/71 taillights. Austin does run a 72 LC package.
