From watching the video it looks like there is not enough travel in the front suspension... Calvert will tell you that you need at least 5" of travel in the front. Tighten the rear shocks and getting some travel in the front will surely help a bunch.

It has right at 5" of travel. It looks like it doesn't fully extend when it's spinning but when it's hooked up and moving it's extended all the way. He does have a few options the next time he goes to test and tune.

Thanks Brad. It's morphed quite a bit. The next stage should be good. matt

Jay,

It looks a little different than @ 2007 Pinks Allout.

Yeah, Drag Radials & sticks do not go together all that well. Radials like to stay planted & are not forgiving like a slick. You can tune it eventually to get it to some what work.

A clutch slipper can really help make drag radials compatible with a manual trans. Just an extra 1/10th of a second of clutch slip can reduce the drivetrain's shock from clutch engagement by appx 50%.

Here's a link to a very effective clutch slip controller that you can put together for under $50... DIY clutch slipper

FYI you will need a shorter cylinder if you want to hide it under the dash of an a or b body. Works good on the street also! I suggest calling M&H for drag radials on a stick car.

The cylinder can be mounted along the side of the pedal if it needs to be completely hidden. It could also be hidden in plain sight with a different knob for easier access, maybe as an e-brake release or manual choke?
