Tony,
I have a Holley Street Dominator for sale. Nice condition, Bolt holes in good shape, mounting faces doesn't appear to have been machined. If interested email me at ronnman(at)bellsouth(dot)net.

I would just use a performer RPM, they are just over $200 if you shop around and the best compromise between all the designs and work well everywhere.

A 68 charger with a low deck-
M1 / 4500 dominator combo.
M1 / 4150 - 950 Holley
PERF RPM / holley carb combo. All fit with a small drop bas air cleaner.

So far my favorite on my engine, 10.4/1 470 is the eddy rpm with a 1000cfm annular booster holley.

Thanks for the information. I take it that was under a stock hood?

I agree the RPM is the best all around and your
71 dodge truck hood will have all the clearance
you need even with a tall air cleaner

Hi all - I know there have been tests done, but I'm looking for a low profile intake to bolt onto a 400 engine with stock heads (some porting). I don't want to mess with the kickdown or throttle cable linkage, and not looking to make max power, just make a quick bolt on swap from the factory boat anchor. Any upgrade from stock would be nice. I know the performer intake is out there, and if I recall, there is not much gain over stock other then the weight loss.

The engine also sports a Crane powermax hydraulic ft cam 224/234 @.050, .467/.494 lift, 114 lsa, 750 edelbrock carb and headers, in a 71 D200 truck.

Any info is appreciated. thanks!

I used the Street Denominator with a 850 TQ on my 451. Motor responded really well with that combo

I was on same deal. Simply went with the regular performance intake on my stroked 400 ( 451 wannabe ). Performer is a bit higher than the iron stock one... maybe half an inch. Just needed to trim out some tuff to fit correctly the A/C Compressor.

BUT as mentioned looking forward to Holley Street Dominator or its similar one made by Edelbrock ( which I can't recall its name on this moment ) what is kinda more stockish look... if we can say that somehow

Street master is a fuel economy intake, isn't it? Kinda like an Sp-2p

I just switched from a torker II 440, to an RPM on my W100. 4" filter, no drop base. I did have to massage the center rib for clearance. Also, it's a 79 hood, might be a tad taller.
HUGE drive ability increase with the dual plane. Drop base would probably give all the clearance needed. B series just makes it easier.

Here's mine with a drop base air cleaner, the factory cleaner would work with this drop base but I kinda liked the chrome 383 with the aluminum valve covers.

dunno but from the distance looks allmost the same to the Street Dominator but with a correct booster vacuum source and EGR locations
