New build,Stealth heads,Mancini roller rockers. I have primed the motor(COUNTER CLOCKWISE) turned crank to several locations and have oil pressure to my gauge but not to the rockers. Spun motor over with starter without spark plugs in and still no oil pressure to rockers but 25 psi on gauge. Is this most likely a plug missing under the timing chain Thanks Mike

The rocker shafts is where I would look.

"First thing to check is to remove one of the rocker arm shafts and then slowly spin the oil pump shaft by hand using a speed wrench. If you don't get oil then the cam bearing is installed wrong. If you do get oil then you don't have a problem. Andy I already took off one of the shafts and turned over the motor with the starter with the oil pump shaft in place and saw no oil. That should have done it don't you think??? Also, isn't there a possibility there is a plug missing under the timing chain cover somewhere? I remember reading about this in a search on the subject. Do I have to take the timing cover off to see or can I see up there with the oil pan removed? I also had a hard time priming this motor if you remember from a previous post. It would not prime until I remover the oil filter and ran the drill with the filter off . It then primed . Do you think it could have anything to do with the oil filter? "You need to find those two spots where the oil holes are in line perfectly at 4th cam journal and prime away at those two spots. You should see oil. " Would it not hit those spots while turning the motor over with the starter? Thanks Mike

You have stated that you have oil pressure on the gauge. If you had a missing plug, it would just be dumping oil internally, and you wouldn't be getting pressure.
Been there done that on my fisrt B block build I left the plug out that is behind and under the cam gear, I did get the other three in though correctly As already stated, if you have oil pressure to the rear of the block you have all the oil galley block plugs in Please let us know what you find BTW, if the 4th cam journal has the stock size, small oil holes in the cam, it only oils the rockers for around 5 crankshaft degrees every other revoution Get someone to prime th eoil pump with one rocker shaft off and turn the crankshaft over very SLOWLY for two full crankshaft revolutions, oil should squirt out of the head quite a ways when the oil hole in the cam and blcok lines up I have heard the drill motor change tone when priming when the cam and the oil passage to the heads lined up I now have all my cams grooved on the 4 th journal to oil the rockers full time Especially those with roller lifters and stout valve springs

turn dampener slit to TDC #6 compression & preoil (I forget which bank that is) then backup the crank 3/4 turn CCW till #8 is firing & preoil some more. cut a strip of newspaper 17 and 1/16" to use as a ruler on the dampener back from the TDC slit to get to #8

Pull the cam and rocker shafts. Stick a piece of wire through the oil passage from the head side and see if it makes it through the cam bearing from both heads.

I was able to run a piece of welding rod down the hole in the head and by slowly turning the crank i found where the hole in the cam lined up. I had a problem between the crank and cam that was plugged and machine shop that put it together missed. He did take care of it. I did this on both sides to check the cam bearing alignment.

CCW on a BB (he mentioned Stealth heads) and no need to pull the cam, when you hit the sweet spot (for each side) the rod will drop thru the cam bearing significantly & into the cam, Cant miss it/you'll feel it drop when you get there
