I often look at the web sight for what's new in the local wrecking yard. Just before Sunday I saw that they had a '74 Dodge P/U come in. I picked up a classic push bumper, and few odds and ends for my truck. I know some people don't like those things hanging off the front of their trucks, but I like them. This one was in very nice (unbent up, no dings and scrapes) shape, utility light tabs were perfect. Just needed the light rust, and bad paint knocked off. I brought it home, blasted it, and gave it new paint. Looks fantastic! Tomorrow I mount it (on the truck, get your mind out of the gutter!).
Just sharing !

I can never do that, because the whole truck would end up parked in my personal old dodge truck wrecking yard

I've really got to get this thing painted. But next, the Perlux fog lights I've been saving for a bazillion years. Then the bucket seats (covers are on the way from Legendary) in parchment. This will be the truck I never got to get in the '70s. Just a bit more !

man I am jealous of the lack of rust/dents in your truck. I think the push bumper looks great, would of been nice chrome but painted should be just as good.

fine looking truck just the way it is without shiney paint. I like the pushbar just because you don't see them very often.

Did you go with the OE fabric or the less spendy stuff... currious to see how it turns out on the seat....
Now you need a 23 or 40 channel Mopar CB... wonder who has one of them....lol...

I guess I should have said "push bar". I guess .

Sam, I've already spent enough bucks on the AM/FM cassette conversion I had done. It now has an MP3 set up in it, with an amp. No cassette motor, just the door to look like it's still there. This truck is fast catching the expenses I've put into the Duster. NOT!

The man is offering you a free paint job and some alcohol. Take him up on that offer.

You obviously have not seen his videos. I do want my truck in one piece after the visit! But the "shine" sipping sounds good.
You know Gregory, I was thinking of doing it up in red for a while (mostly 'cause of the old TV series "Emergency"). But if you have some of my color paint laying around, I'll be right over (and I'll bring the beer!).
Sam, I went with the non metallic parchment. I forget the specific years. I will post pictures after the install. I'm really looking forward to it! One question Sam: having the interior in parchment, would the seat frame still be black?

When you said push bumper, this is what I thought of ...

I had something like this on my 74 W200, back when I had a Shell station.
