I'd use the money for go fast goodies. Can't see how going to tubulars would buy you that much, but I'm no expert!

i have a 1971 duster with a late k-frame big bolt stuff. i am adding a large sway bar from firm feel soon. already installed QA1 adjustable front shocks that are awsome! i am thinking about a set of tubular upper arms. i am building this car for hammering in the curves,auto-x,and hopefully open track days. i want something i can beat on and not worry about it! any help, comments, suggestions welcome.
With the other things you've allready done, I can then see considering tubular uppers.
I think $200 FIRST spent on subframe connectors will be more performance return for the buck. Same for the bigger sway bars. And then spending $50-100 on offset upper control arm bushings for you stock UCA to give you 3-6 degress positve caster.
After frame connectors, T-bars (you didn't mention those) and sway bars the Tubular Uppers would give you the next step in refinement and performance that you haven't covered.
It sounds like where you are headed in your suspension build would benefit from Tubular Arms. It's the order you choose to purchase and install your mods.

Why are Bobs arms so great? Seems to me they all add 3 degrees pos caster which is WELL worth the money.
love your dart! what are those wheels? i am looking to go with black wheels on mine as well. can you post a couple more pics?

You'll have to wait until Monday to talk to them. They went to Florida or somewhere for a conference. I like the quality of their stuff and their customer service. It's top shelf. Here's the only pic I have that shows the UCA at all. The 11/16th's tie rods are from Firm Feel too. I got a set of their sway bars too, but I'm going to have to detach and reatach the skidplate on my K-member to get the front one in. I just noticed the mounting brackets and attachment kit for the rear bar were not in the box, so I'm calling them on Monday too.

Challenger 1 that is looking good! Did you have any trouble getting the swaybar into your K-member with the skid plate? I'm about ready to remove mine in order to slide it in, and I know that's not the way your supposed to have to do it these days. ;-)

I added the skid plate after I had the sway bar in place. I know what your talking about because I tried to remove it and couldn't.

OK, thanks! Rats.....I guess I'll go out and carefully break the welds, install the bar and weld it back on. I looked at your signature, and am going to PM you about drums of race fuel out here in California.

I will be getting a big front sway bar also for my 70 Charger RT. I have heard of some guys being able to slide that bar through the K-member without having to remove the skid plate. What size of sway bars do you guys have 1 1/16?

I just ground through the front welds on the plate and bent it down just enough to slide it in. Took about 20 minutes. I'm going back out to weld it up now. It should be undetectable from original once done, except for that big sway bar being in there. Firm Feel has 2 available, I used the smaller of the two, which I believe is 1 1/8th". It's still significantly larger than the stock one.

You do realize that if you use that mongoloid front sway bar without an equally mongoloid rear bar that you will succeed in turning your car into a push [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean], right?
The front bar will prevent some body roll but will make the car tend to go straight instead of turning. A rear bar will also control roll but helps the front tires grab the turns better.
Front bars make cars go straight. Rear bars make cars go around backwards. BOTH bars (when matched together) will make for a better handling car.
I've got the stock large 69 B-body bar with a large rear bar from Just Suspension. The hot rod handles rather nicely now.

Yup, realized it. I have the Just Suspension front and rear sway bars on my '68, Wow, what a difference. While the rear bars and mounts are almost identical, the mounting brakets on the front Firm Feel bar are way heavier duty. I wish I would have noticed before I bought the Just Suspension kit for my ragtop.
