I am after the correct engine color for my 65 426 street wedge engine. I know that it is suppost to be blue or a light blue, but I guess what I am after is where do I come up with the right paint? I was at the nats this year and ws going to get some from MOPAINTS but I don't think he was there? Maybe there is some one on the moparts board who sells it?

Pic is a 64 Street Wedge, same color as a 65

The Color is Chrysler Engine Turquoise. I have had success with this formula, it was provided by a longtime Mopar Restoration shop and it is dead on accurate.
The paint is PPG Delstar DAR Acrylic Enamel. The part number is:

DAR18519 H

I have used this several times, it is the correct color and holds up extrememly well.

Hope this helps.

Not trying to steal this post but....
Would you happen to have the Delstar code for the correct orange on a max wedge? Thanks

I can't, but I can tell you this, the rattle cans currently sold by Mopar Performance called "Race Hemi Orange" is a dead on match to my original factory painted Max Wedge parts samples.

I think someone told me that this was a match but I would like to verify that.

That's Dave Waldens blend for 1970 Street Hemi Orange, it's not the same for a Max Wedge

Maxie/Race Hemi Orange is browner than Street Hemi Orange. The MP paint actually is a good match.
