What I use in my Dart actually worked good with the BB it used to have. Not cheap, but it would idle in the driveway on a 100 degree with the temp gauge never going above 190. It would cruise down the interstate at 80 mph at 195 and after a 20 minute hot lap session on a road course in 90 degree weather it would just touch 220 on the last lap when heat soak was at its worse. I use a Griffin 28.5x19 Nascar draft radiator with 2 1.5" tubes, its an Extreme Cool model and I cant find it on their site anymore, probably discontinued. The fans are Derale#259-16842. Dont skimp here or you will always be driving with one eye on the temp gauge which is no fun.

Mopar to the bone!!!

SomeCarGuy -- regarding the trans pan depth... I speak from experience... In the past (20+ years ago), I had tried using a Mopar deep trans pan on my 727 and the extra volume of fluid it carried always resulted in overflowing out of the dip stick tube upon hi-g-force left-hand turns, worse when breaking and making that LH hard turn. I'd swap back to the standard pan.. problem gone... swap back to the deep pan.. problem returns... back to the standard pan.. problem gone. This condition would only occur under competition autocross with very sticky tires creating hi-g-force. Naturally, no one would drive that way on the street/hwy, right? I suppose if there were internal oil slosh baffles within the trans pan, the problem might go away, but I've never seen such a pan.

Mopar Mitch "Road racers and autocrossers go in deeper and come out harder!"... and rain never stops us from having fun with our cars... in fact, it makes us better drivers! Check out MOPAR ACTION MAGAZINE, August 2006 issue for feature article and specs on my autocross T/A!
