what does a launch like that do to your pinion angle? Seems like a lot of lift...
BINGO!!!The slapper bars are flat at rest and in the pic it looks like they are at 25+* up. I am sure that is killing my 60' also.
With a 25+ degrees of U-joint angle I'm really surprised you havent ripped the drive shaft apart.. that 25* is more than the U-joint should ever see and specially at a higher RPM ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

I agree with pretty much what has been recommended so far. Car has too much lift at the rear. I'll give you an example to maybe work from. My car has a Dana, 002/003 SS springs, NO SLAPPER bars, NO PINION SNUBBER, Rancho 9000 shocks. A few years back I was having pretty much the same issues you are having. It was recommended to me to put the Rancho shocks on and tighten them up. I did this and usually run from the 7 to 9 setting depending on track conditions. The majority of the time I run them on 9. This slows the rear spring lift, and allows weight transfer to the rear of the car where it is needed. A pinion snubber is useless, unless you want to add weight to the back. Look at your pic. Do you seriously think that the snubber would be anywhere near the floorboard with that much lift???? If after launch, the tires grab and then they break loose, the shocks are allowing the back end to lift too quickly, and actually pulling the rear tires up off of the ground. I didn't believe this possible until I had video of my car doing it. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drive.gif)
4 speed street legal. Best time 10.99 @ 124 mph on 93 octane pump gas @ 3926# total weight

You better get that thing figured out Clanton.... your call out is coming to show you what a SMALL BLOCK can do with boost.

That's a lot of figuring right there - you may need to give him a couple of years! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drive.gif)

OUCH you guys hurt my feelings,NOT,LOL I enjoyed your comments,REALLY! Ya the windup is really something but it is gone after the 60' and I was concerned about it pulling out the yoke or extra ware on the splines. Listen you guys I have been doing the best I can and to progress every chance I get out.I will have you know and sit down to read this I ordered some caltracs. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eeek.gif) FINALY and I have been wanting to for a long time but like I said when I can I will buy progressing the best way I know how and as MY choice. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) Now if I can get ready for the mopar meet at Norwalk in September. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stirthepot.gif)

You will be happy with their springs & bars. Gives that adjustability you never had before. I also think you will find the Rancho shock will not give you the control you'll need with that torque monster!
We can argue the shocks another time and I got the caltrac bars not the springs. They said it will be no different. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stirthepot.gif)
