I`ll take that as a challenge and an easy one to boot............soon. I know many on here feel my car will be a turd there and my nature loves to prove naysayers wrong...........peace out!

Hey Tony, call me when you get there and maybe we can hang and have a 760-900-3895...........L8TR.........

Don't think he is saying it will be a turd, just wont be as fast. Just nature of the beast at altitude. Remember LVMS is at 2000'+ you just aint going as fast here period. But the good news is most cars seem to pick up .25-.3ish when they hit sea level. Just is what it is. You really want a challenge head up to Salt Lake

I seem to remember Dom running one of his cars at LACR in August years ago during the day, the D.A. went from 4500 Ft. at 10:00 AM to 7700 Ft D.A. that afternoon. He ask me if I saw anything wrong with his car He knows a little bit more about cars, gasoline and tuning now Have fun all you guys in L.V. I remeber racing there at the old track in July and August, almost as good as LACR at the same time of year

Believe me I am not saying he wont. He has run fast enough to show that. Just saying it aint the same up here as at sea level, but you now that. We have no barometer up here and that has a big affect on an NA car, but again you know that too

D/A in Vegas in the summer is often north of 6000'.

Again, I hear ya guys and don`t plan on racing in the summer...........why would anyone do that. I went 9.95 in Fontana on crap tires w/a lazy 60 ft. in 3000+ air and now I`m 140-150 lbs. lighter, the carb`s finally tuned properly and I`m on a true 10.5 slick plus the chassis mods w/the 25" ft. segment, sliders and verticle mounted shocks. I`ll bet anyone here I go a 9 off the trailer after all it IS Vegas baby...............

Summer or not even 3000'DA here is consider pretty darn good air. We see that in the late fall and early spring. SCSN is when the air isusually at it's best as well as the track surface. I am sure you will make it just don't panic when you loose the ET and MPH it will happen. Oh yeah last race we were north of 7500' DA and that was late at night.

Since I`m an et chaser I don`t ever race in the summer months so providing I move there, I`ll chase weather stations till the air`s good and hope it`ll run the number.

Only problem in Vegas...went the air is good..the track is not open...and good air in Vegas if you are lucky around 3000 DA...

Thankxx 4 the heads up and he`s gonna need to be faster than high 10`s to get me but ya never know.

Thump..
Don't confuse strip times with potential on the street ..
Hooking up on the street vs. the strip is an art in itself. That super bee launches harder than most strip cars, has a 4-link, reworked torqueflite. Another close friend that has a built 650HP wedge red Duster runs mid-9s, got beat by 2 car lengths. I have never seen a Mopar launch as hard it does, don't know what his 60' times are but I would estimate to be about 1.28.. Once he jumps out front there is no catching him..

Just my $0.03...

This has been eatin at me for days now so here goes; 1st, a high 10 522 on spray is embarrasing in my opinion, 2nd, the very best he can run on the street if all he has is hi-10`s is MAYBE 10`s if not 11`s, 3rd, hard to believe he`s turning 1.28 60`s and lastly on my worse run I`m in the low 10`s or better so let`s make this happen. Do you know this guy?

Thats when we started testing when I use to go out to
Phoenix and Vegas working for Chrysler... I spent a
month out there every year for a long time testing
fuel systems and other component.. when I first started
going out to Phoenix the humidity was 12%-13% till
the people started putting in pools and all the irrigation
in the fields.. last time out there it was 35%(this was
the normal.. not during the rains).. seen a few cars
get washed down the stream bottoms during monsoon season
