This sure opens up a can of worms for NHRA.. So you take your factory stock street car to the test n tune at your local track only to get bounced.. 10.99 and quicker: 1. Aftermarket balancer 2. Aftermarket Axles 3. Transmission Shield 4. Roll Bar 5. 16.1 3" driver restraint (seat belts) 6. 3.2A/1 Jacket 7. Helmet That's just my quick list.. EDIT: I did find that NHRA lifted the roll bar deal from 2008 and up factory stock "UNALTERED" vehicles.. So, if you put drag radials on, you have just altered the car.. I wonder how strict tech will be on these cars.. Chris..

Chris..
They better re-write their rules, lots of crazy fast stuff out there these days and they're only getting faster.
Example, next Camaro is going to be 800lbs~ lighter than the current one and likely have even more power.
Like they said in the one video, if you missed the first muscle car era, don't miss this one!

I was BS-ing at the local Dodge dealer waiting on the parts guy yesterday. Our store will be marking them up $10K minimum over MSRP. He told MSRP will be around $74K, with little in the way of option deletes.
High end car, for high end wallets.
Ouch! It is hard enough to come up with $74k MSRP, but to pay $10k over MSRP is not going to happen for me. Even the SRT sticker price is expensive for many of us.

Time to sell all my stocks and 401k....at 26 years old. Sounds like a responsible choice.
