OK, i fixed my armrests. I bought some short stainless 1/8" rivets and drilled the vynil and steel backing and riveted them together. Seems to hold tight and work good, maybe some adhesive to could have helped---maybe i'll find a better set later on or just reupolster like above.

Yup...Mine were REAL bad too! I used a high quality upholstry adhesive (3M)..Streched Tweed over em, was what led to covering the entire panels.

Congrats Pokey!!!

Yeah it looks good but I would have put a new window regulator handle on

Thanks guys!
Handles were all I had at the time pic was taken, both have been replaced since then, after Wagonmaster gave me a ration about them....LOL

Now, now, I wouldn't ever offer but constructive criticism...

If it is a 231, it is the same base engine (I think) as the turbo Buick........
Nothin wrong with a V-6!!!

Well Pokey, I would rather be rebuilt, instead of gutless.....

Glad ya are gettin that V-6, it should work out well, untill you decide it is gutless.....

I would consider finding a t-bird turbo coupe for a donor....very powerful, and lightweight powertrain, and great mileage to boot....my VW bus gets 30 plus.....I went up Raton, N.M. pass at 80 and climbin in it 3 years ago.....(it has turbo coupe power, and the guy in the early Camaro's face was priceless when I passed him,LOL)...the T.C's are cheap too!...the donor I got was 200 bucks, was hit in the rear.
Still think a big block Mopar would be SWEEEEET!

Ok, were getting there, painted the intake and oilpan to go on the already painted motor. i have the correct 360 magnum flexplate now too, so no more vibrations. The headers are painted also now too(POR15 manifold grey color---this stuff works awsome!!!). I need to get the frame, and motor mounts painted before i can drop it in though.

We big time touched up the engine compartment paint, soit looks alot better in there (had TONS of gouges/scratches from the multiple previous engine swaps). All i can say is this F6 green is big time expensive---cost me $60 for a quart--- and that was at a good discounted rate. Im used to solid colors that generally run about $40-50 for a quart of un-discounted price paint.

Which brings me to the next question, are the car rubber motor mounts the same as the truck ones? I need new ones and if i can use those urathane ones, so much the better.

If ya aint super picky, check with your paint store for "mismixes'....Ya can usually get them by the gallon for very little to nothing....the cost of reducer and hardener/ clear coat beats the full meal deal....I found a color so close to the original blue on my 83 it hurt....a gallon for 20 bucks! Just a suggestion.

If I may make an interjection about the urethane motor mounts.... They do not isolate the engine from the passengers as well as the factory rubber ones do.
And where did you happen to see the ones for the cars?

Can anyone tell me what model years of doors will interchange with my 86? Some dumb little girlie backed into my truck last night, caving in my drivers door! I don't know yet what insurance will do about it, but from previous experience, I'm not holding my breath. I looked at one local yard today. Of the three Dodge trucks they had, the only 80's model there was already missing the drivers door. On the plus side, there was a mid 70's club cab that had the dash panel with the factory tach and the volt and vacuum gauge in a wood grain. Looked in pretty good condition. If anyone is interested let me know.
