The OP says it's a .484 cam. I don't believe the old Mopar cams were made with any advance built in.

You could check the height of the lifters at TDC, it's a single pattern cam and should have lifters dead even at TDC if the cam is straight up. If it's advanced the intake lifter should be higher by a little, should go back to even at some point which will be the amount of advance.

It's not as accurate as other methods that take a lot more time, but it'll get you started.

Most people run faster with the cam advanced a few degrees because they have too big of a cam, that is why everyone advances them 4*. I don't think that cam is too big for that motor unless the compression is really low, in that case you still may find a little from advancing it. However with out degreeing it you may be at the ideal spot now and not know it or you could be waaaaay out, you may gain nothing or a lot so just do it

I don't understand why everyone has a fit about the 4 degree thing, most people advance their cam 4 degrees because that is the recommended ICL from most cam manufacturers. I'm pretty sure almost all Comp cams are recommended to be installed 4 degrees advanced.

Now I need to pin those needles, got to feel that heat

The question:How much power can be found????
It all depends on how far out of wack the original cam was or if it was even installed correctly. We see cams come in spec with out having to change anything while others need a lot of correction.Where the cam is set in terms of advance or retard is based on the all aspects of the combo,ie: engine build specs, type of chassis and power train componants to tires and gearing.Set the cam to give you the power and torque curves to fit the needs of the complete combo.
